Hi! I’m Lana — officially Eleni Galani — a museologist, published author, and licensed tour guide. I’m also an INFJ and a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), navigating life with passion, curiosity, and, like everyone else, a fair share of challenges.
I studied Archaeology and Art History at the University of Athens, and later continued with Museology at the École du Louvre and the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Since then, I’ve worked in museums and galleries both in Greece and abroad — places that feel like home to me.
Since 2018, I’ve been guiding visitors through archaeological sites, museums, and hidden corners of history in English and French, with over 2,500 hours of tours under my belt. In 2023, I had the honor of leading Greece’s very first outdoor tour for blind visitors at the Acropolis — a deeply moving experience that taught me how to see the world beyond just the visual, engaging all five senses.
Writing is another part of who I am. I've published four poetry collections, a theatrical monologue (performed in Athens in 2018 under Roula Pateraki’s direction), and two children’s fairy tales. During the quiet days of quarantine, I also discovered the magical world of cyanotypes — an alternative photography method that combines light, nature, and a bit of alchemy.
When I’m not guiding or creating, I’m usually out walking with my dog Ivan. He's a big-hearted Greek shepherd mix who reminds me daily to slow down, be present, and enjoy life’s small pleasures.
Here you can find my books, photobooks, audiobooks and more of what I do.

The Dog (aka Ivan)
Yuff, I’m Ivan — a 50 kg Greek shepherd mix with a gentle soul and a love for adventure. Lana adopted me in January 2023 when I was still a puppy. Now that I’m all grown up (around 3 years old), I’m her loyal companion, protector, and mindfulness coach.
I love long walks and road trips, though my size sometimes makes it tricky to go everywhere. Still, I do my best to teach Lana the art of slowing down and taking in the world, one scent, sound, and breeze at a time.
